This will be the final event of the Science meets Regions project (2021-2023), aiming to boost evidence-informed policymaking at local and regional level.
The Preparatory Action “Advancing Evidence for Policy at Local and Regional Level” is entering its final phase. This final event will conclude the project and will look beyond Science Meets Regions activities to include other Science for Policy projects carried out by the Commission.
Science meets Regions is a project implemented by the JRC and aiming to foster evidence-informed policymaking at local and regional level through a variety of instruments: innovation camps and participatory processes, scientific studies, pairing schemes between researchers and policymakers, and skills training for policymakers.
The project will have its high-level closing event at the Committee of the Regions on 27-28 September, where the participants will come together and jointly take stock and reflect on the way forward.
You can find more information and a draft programme on the event page where you can also register. We warmly welcome any policymaker or researcher with an interest in science for policy. The conference will not only deal with Science meets Regions in the narrow sense but address a wide range of related initiatives.
Registration will end on 25 September 2023, 21:00 CEST
