Atlantic Summit Galway 2026

The Atlantic Summit Galway 2026 will take place during Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Organised by the Marine Institute, University of Galway, and Atlantic Technological University, and supported by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, this high-level event will bring together leaders and stakeholders from across policy, research, industry and society to help shape the future of Europe’s ocean agenda.

The event will:

• Identify critical priorities for Atlantic Ocean research
• Explore future skills needs
• Drive innovation to strengthen Europe’s leadership in ocean science and policy
• Support progress under the EU Ocean Pact

With plenary sessions, strategic discussions and valuable networking opportunities, the Summit will provide a unique platform for collaboration at a pivotal moment for Europe’s ocean ambitions.
