Claire is the National Contact Point (NCP) for the Digital component of Horizon Europe Cluster 4 – Digital, Industry and Space, the Joint Research Centre (JRC), and serves as Ireland’s National Representative for the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU). She holds a BSc from Maynooth University and a PhD in Computer Science from Dublin City University (DCU), where her research specialised in cryptography. Based in Enterprise Ireland, Claire brings over 18 years of experience in research and funding management, with a strong focus on advanced digital technologies. Former Head of the Research Development Team at the ADAPT Research Ireland Centre and Head of the Research Unit in TCD’s School of Computer Science and Statistics, Claire successfully supported numerous competitive funding proposals in FP7, Horizon 2020, and Horizon Europe. As NCP, she supports organisations in securing EU funding through strategic guidance, expert advice, and proposal development.
