Darragh has a background in the Natural Sciences, holds a PhD in chemistry and has conducted postdoctoral research in institutions in Germany and the UK. Darragh joined the Environmental Protection Agency in 2022 as a Senior Manager for Research Strategy and will act as its representative on various EU research initiatives. Prior to this, he worked in Science Foundation Ireland developing and implementing research funding programmes, with a focus on international partnerships, postgraduate training as well as in the areas of climate and sustainability.
