James is a National Contact Point (NCP) for Horizon Europe Pillar 3 – Innovative Europe. He has substantial experience in technology commercialisation and in supporting in-company innovation across diverse sectors (UK, Ireland, USA). James previously managed a portfolio of Enterprise Ireland's high growth health and life sciences companies to help them scale their businesses in global markets. Earlier in his career, he was a senior research scientist with the UK Medical Research Council (MRC). James has a PhD in genetics (Imperial College, London) and a Masters in Intellectual Property Law (London). He has been an active mentor to several US based innovation and entrepreneurship programs including Princeton University, Rutgers University (NJ), and the University City Sciences Center Program in Philadelphia.
