Patricia is the National Delegate for Horizon Europe Cluster 1 – Health, as well as a member of the Cancer Mission Working Group under the Strategic Configuration of the Horizon Europe Programme Committee, the Health Emergency preparedness and Response Authority (HERA) Advisory Forum and the national High-Level Group for Horizon Europe. She has over 20 years’ experience in policy, research and health roles working across organisations in Ireland and the UK. As a Programme Manager for Health Research Board (HRB), she is responsible for work on EU Framework Programmes, considering policy, regulations and legislation developments at EU level, leading on open research agendas and on the development and adoption of best practice policies relevant to HRB funding. Her current positions include lead for HRB Open Research platform, co-Chair of National Open Research Forum Ireland and she is also a member of the EU Expert Group on National Point of Reference for Scientific Information. Patricia holds a DPhil Research University of Birmingham (1997), and an MSc Computer Science and Applications (1992) and a BSc Psychology (1991) Queen’s University Belfast.
