EIE Programme

New analysis of the European Innovation Ecosystems (EIE) initiative presents a picture of Ireland’s role between 2021 and 2025. The country recorded 159 applications from 84 organisations, requesting over €56.7 million, and ranking eighth among EU Member States. Ultimately, 38 participations were funded, involving 28 beneficiaries and 10 coordinators. Although the €6 million secured represents a modest share of the overall EIE budget, results indicate consistent engagement and strong performance. Regional data shows concentration in the Eastern and Midlands area, while further outcomes from a 2026 call are still pending.
