Margherita Bacigalupo works at the Innovation Policies and Economic Impact Unit of the Joint Research Centre as the project manager for Partnerships for Regional Innovation (PRI). Her background is in human computer interaction and particularly in user studies. At the JRC she has led development of the Entrepreneurship Competence framework, and the key competences team whose work is featured in the PRI Playbook. Prior to joining the JRC, she worked in the food packaging industry and aviation.

Dimitrios Pontikakis is an economist at the Innovation Policies and Economic Impact Unit of the Joint Research Centre. As part of the Partnerships for Regional Innovation (PRI) team, he supports the development of a new strategic policy framework, suitable for transformative innovation policy. Dimitrios was previously responsible for the JRC Working Group ‘Understanding and Managing Industrial Transitions’ and associated JRC work on transformative innovation policy. Prior to joining the JRC, he was an economist at the OECD Directorate for Science, Technology and Industry.
