A new EU project, PEGASUS, is awarded almost €5 million to provide Europe with a more sustainable, accessible and secure air mobility systems. Reduced traffic congestion, faster travel times and lower carbon emissions are just a few of the many benefits of urban air mobility. The project brings together 18 organisations across Europe to assess how drones and low-emission aircraft can support urban logistics and deliveries. A key outcome will be a Societal Readiness Score measuring factors such as safety, noise, privacy and environmental impact. Real-world demonstrations in Ireland, Portugal, Italy and Bulgaria will help policymakers, regulators and communities plan future air mobility services. Read more here.
